Narod Armenian Children’s Cultural Institute

The Narod Armenian Children’s Cultural Institute was established to bring joy to the life of every Armenian child, improve the educational contexts of childhood, and help children share the Armenian cultural heritage.
Narod Network Project
Primarily concerned with children’s education, the Narod Network Project was aimed to introduce information technology to expand educational networks, their potential, and bridge Armenian communities worldwide. The Narod Network Project provided students and educators in Armenia with the means to share their rich cultural heritage and gain the perspective of their peers in other parts of the world.
Sesame Street
Since 1993, the number of children attending preschool institutions in Armenia had frightfully declined due to cuts in government funding and harsh conditions in pre-school institutions such as lack of heating and food. Numerous schools shut down leaving preschool age children on the streets without necessary structure needed for proper development.
Narod’s Children Library
The Narod Arhdaldjian Children’s Library was opened in the neighborhood of Bourj-Hammoud in Beirut, Lebanon on March 30, 1996. The library aimed to encourage the educational and cultural development of inner city Armenian children living in the Armenian enclave of Bourj-Hammoud.
