Local Memorial Service to Remember Victims of USAir Flight 427

LITTLE NECK, New York, Sept. 18, 1994 – In the wake of the tragic September 8 US Air Flight 427 crash, which took the lives of 132 passengers and crew, St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church, which lost two members of its community in the crash, has planned two special services to remember all of the victims. The two services, a special morning mass at 11:30 a.m. and a memorial service at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, September 18 are open to the public and will be officiated by Father Anoushavan Tanielian.

A memorial gathering will follow the 12:30 service, and will be held at the Armenian Community Center, located at 39-03 Little Neck Parkway, Little Neck, New York.

The crash took the lives of Ani, age 36 and Narod Ardhaldjian, age 2, wife and daughter of Raffi Ardhaldjian. Family members of both Ani and Raffi reside in Queens, NY. Ani and Raffi resided in Agoura Hills, CA and in June moved to Chicago.
